1. Only dogs are allowed as pets in the Hotel (hereinafter referred to as "Pets"), which must be accommodated in the same room assigned to the guest/owner, with a maximum of 2 Pets per room.
2. Breeds that are required by law to wear a muzzle must be muzzled. Animals must be free of all parasites.
3. Pets must wear identification collars and leashes at all times, except when inside the room, where they cannot be left unattended.
4. Pets must have all the legally required documentation in force, particularly the vaccination card, which can be requested from the owner at check-in. Pets are not allowed to bathe in the guests' bathroom under any circumstances.
5. Pets will be allowed access to the guest/owner's room and areas where access/staying with a pet is possible (please check with hotel staff).
6. If, for any reason, the Pet physically assaults any guest or causes any damage or malfunction, the possible expenses derived from such action and/or the liability derived from the same shall be the responsibility of the guest.
7. In the event of any legal claim, administrative procedure and/or sanction, and/or claim of any kind from a third party against MELIÁ HOTELS INTERNATIONAL or any of its subsidiaries or related companies, derived from the non-compliance by the guest with the content of these clauses or as a result of inappropriate behaviour by the Pet, the guest undertakes to assume the cost of defending MELIÁ or its subsidiaries or related companies, including the costs of solicitor and lawyer, even if they are not compulsory, as well as any liability that may be claimed from the same, holding them harmless against any third party claim that has its origin in any of the causes above.
8. Pets will not be allowed access to areas forbidden under the legal regulations in force at the time of the accommodation.
9. For areas where food is served, the animal must always remain tethered and on the ground next to its owner without obstructing passageways or disturbing the regular operation of the service. It must not climb on the furniture or put its paws on the table.
10. When cleaning the room or providing any other service within the room, the Pet must be controlled, the guest will leave with the Pet or the Pet will be kept in the Pet carrier bag.
11. The guest/owner is responsible for the cleanliness and disposal of their pets' waste in and around the Hotel, as well as for their good behaviour, and must ensure at all times that they do not cause any nuisance to the rest of the Hotel's guests.
12. The Hotel reserves the right to expel the Pet and the guest/owner and/or, as the case may be, to terminate this lodging contract in the event of a breach by the guest/owner of any of the obligations set forth herein, and without the guest/owner being entitled to receive any compensation for such breach.
